Born Michael Shukran, Mike Monster is a Kenyan artist from the coastal city of Malindi, he started his music career back in 2018 with a song titled ‘Karibia’.
He later launched the song ‘Twakinyola’ which officially put him among the most promising artists hailing from Malindi.
As a young and aspiring artist from Malindi, Monster and fellow artists are facing major disadvantages which include lack of talent support, inadequate recording facilities and publicity.
Despite the major and obvious challenge which is lack of support for local talent, these artists have to struggle and put their hard earned money into producing music to keep their careers afloat, in hopes that one day the market will open up.
Aside from fixing the technical hiccups in music production, these artists need proper management strategies to help ensure that no talent is wasted.
Monster is one of the most talented and passionate artists I have known, personally, and he possesses the ability to transform the music industry in Kenya. With proper channels and management strategies he will scale higher.
Currently, Monster has released more than ten songs that are already on public and online platforms. Including radio stations like Radio Jahazi in Malindi.
He has also revealed to Netizen Radar that he has two new songs that are slated to be released soon.
Most of his records have been produced at Ayk Music, but he has also worked in a majority of studios in and around Malindi, including Pillarworks Studio, Trace Records and Solid Music.
Since the onset of his music career Monster has been able to work out numerous collaboration deals, including working with upcoming and popular artists like Shaabigy, Swanky Otr, Young Njita, Crismatic, Joseph T, Wadosi Gang, Katoi Lee, Burning Ice, Yte Kiid and Supreme Loco.
