Donald Trump is perhaps one of the world’s most controversial leaders. He is known for his unpredictable character, and the media can’t go a day without talking about him. Trump is also known for his weird, erratic and funny behaviour ever seen on any world leader.

His rise to power to become the “45th King of America” is more controversial than his overall behaviour and character. And of course, he is one of the most amazing world leader I have ever known.

1. Donald Trump won the Republican nomination for President of the United States of America on 19th July 2016, and became the 45th President (King) of the United States of America on 9th November 2016.

2. Trump has received his own star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame which he received from the reality TV show, The Apprentice.

3. In 1999, Trump proposed a one-time tax of 14.25% on individuals with a Networth of $10 million or more and claimed that it would raise $5.7 trillion which can wipe out the national debt.

4. Trump has had multiple political affiliations over the years. He was registered as a Republican in 1987, he then changed to an Independent party in 1999, and then changed to the Democrat party in 2001. He then changed to Republican in 2009 and later left again in 2011 and didn’t wish to join in any party again, however, in 2012, he re-joined the Republican party once again up to present.

5. Trump owns and operates 17 golf courses around the world.

6. By the time Trump was 27, he had already owned 14, 000 apartments and was running the Trump Management Corporation.

7. Trump made a brief appearance in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.

8. His family name was initially Drumpf or Drumpft but changed to Trump when the Thirty Years’ War occurred in 1600s.

9. Donald Trump made his first big real estate deal in Manhattan with the remodelling of the Grand Hyatt Hotel in 1978.

10. Trump avoided being drafted into the military by get four student deferments. After being determined twice to be fit for duty, he got a 1-Y medical deferment in October 1968. Then in December 1969, he received a high placement number in the draft lottery that exempted him from service.

11. Trump is one of the least charitable billionaires in the world and has donated only $3.7 million to his own charity over a period of 20 years, which is less than the $5 million the WWE donated to his charity in 2007 alone.

The project ended up in controversy when the Justice Department in 1973 accused the company of discrimination against blacks. After admitting no wrongdoing, an agreement between the company and Justice Department was struck to resolve the issue.
