73-year old man beats his son to death for interfering his sleep
In Trans-Nzoia, a 73-year old man has been arrested by the police officers after killing his 31-year old son for interfering in his sleep.
Reports state that James Tarus strangled his son to death after interfering in his evening sleep. The deceased son who had returned home four years later after going missing, went on to the suspect’s bedroom where he was taking an evening nap and started jolting and shaking the bed.
The deceased is said to have been under the influence of alcohol while disturbing his father from his sleep.
“The victim who has been away from home for four years found his elderly father enjoying an early evening power nap in his bedroom,” stated the DCI
“At his father’s room, he jolted him to wake as he lifted the bed. Angered by his son’s actions, the old man whacked his head using a nearby wooded bar before tying his rope around his neck and restraining him to sofa.”
The Cherangany police officers rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect who is now detained at the police station while the officers continue there investigations.
