As the Kenyan telecommunication giant, Safaricom, marks its 20th anniversary since it was launched back in 23rd October, 2000, Safaricom users will celebrate with free calls of up to 20 minutes in the next 30 days.
According to a latest statement released to the press, the company stated that it will send its customers notification to alert them of their free calls.
Safaricom users who have been using the network for the past 20 years and those turning 20 will receive a free 20GB data bundle valid for seven days to celebrate the network’s 20th anniversary.
“Each customer will receive a notification a day before to alert them of their free call. Customers who have been on the Safaricom network for 20 years, as well as customers turning 20 this year, will also receive a free 20GB data bundle valid for 7 days,” Peter Ndegwa, Safaricom CEO.
A new Safaricom promotion called, 20@20 will see customers purchase 20 minutes of airtime and 20MBs at Sh20. This offer can be accessed on USSD *444#.
Safaricom is one of the most recognised telecommunication brand in Kenya that has grown swiftly over the past 20 years while boosting Kenya’s economy.
